Our mission is to support efforts that advance the fundamental rights and health of all women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people.
In October 2022, the Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights Fund was launched as a donor advised fund at the Tides Foundation to support efforts that advance women’s rights and health. The Fund will be conducting various fundraising efforts and the net proceeds will be granted to organizations that are having a positive impact on the lives of all women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people.
March 30, 2026 – We are excited to announce the newest round of grants from the Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights Fund at the Tides Foundation.
A record $575,000 was recently given to a wonderful group of organizations addressing an array of issues impacting the lives of women and girls around the globe. And, we are excited to announce that we have expanded our mission to include support for the LGBTQ+ community.
We are so grateful to everyone who has supported our efforts – whether buying a Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights t-shirt, a wig on Cyndi’s farewell tour, or donating. Thank you!
